Load Cell 50kg

These load cells operate at minute voltage changes and they need an amplifier board such as HX711 load cell amplifier, or Sparkfun Openscale. to hook them up to a microcontroller like an Arduino.

  • The internal 1000 ohm half bridge strain gauge, the measuring range is 50kg weighing sensor, half bridge structure.
  • This sensor can be used in 3 methods:
  1. using a sensor with an external resistance to form a full bridge measurement, range with a single sensor: 50kg. External resistance must be higher.
  2. using two sensors to form a full bridge measurement, the range of two sensors is: 50kgx2=100kg
  3. using four sensors to form a full bridge measurement, the range of four sensors is: 50kgx4=200kg

When measuring, the force should be applied to the outer side of the strain E-shaped portion of the sensor ans the outside edges to form a shearing force in the opposite direction (i.e., the middle of the metal beam should bend with the center affixed to the strain gauge. Make sure that there is a shearing force across the center and edges when weight is applied for a proper reading.)
