Product Description
Description:
These are wind speed sensors (anemometers) used to measure how fast the wind is moving. Both types typically feature three cups that spin in the wind, and they are built to be durable and weatherproof for use outdoors. They are essential tools for monitoring weather, checking environmental conditions, or in various outdoor projects.
0 to 5V Analog
This wind speed sensor provides an analog output signal that ranges from 0 to 5 Volts. The voltage it sends out directly reflects the wind speed: the faster the wind blows, the higher the voltage. This type of output is straightforward to connect to common electronic boards like Arduino.
Specifications:
Type: 3 cups
Output Signal Range: 0-5V DC Analog Voltage
Power Supply: 12V to 24V DC
Start Wind Speed: 0.4 to 0.8 m/s
Accuracy: ±3% (of reading)
Operating Temperature: -40°C to +80°C
Measurement Range: 0 to 30 m/s (meters per second)
RS485
This wind speed sensor uses an RS485 digital output signal. This method of sending data is robust and reliable, making it suitable for situations where the sensor needs to be far from the data collection point, or in industrial environments where interference might be a concern. It often uses the Modbus RTU protocol for communication with other devices
Specifications:
Measurement Range: 0 to 45 m/s
Output Signal: RS485
Power Supply: 10V to 30V DC
Start Wind Speed: 0.3 to 0.8 m/s
Accuracy: ±(0.3 + 0.03V) m/s (where V is current wind speed)
Operating Temperature: -40°C to +80°C
