Description:
The Strain Gauge Adapter Board is an essential part of Centauri Carbon's "contact-based" bed leveling system. Unlike inductive probes that only detect metal, this board processes signals from a strain gauge mounted on the hotend. This allows the printer to use the actual nozzle tip as a probe to physically touch the build plate.
The board amplifies the minute electrical changes (micro-volts) produced by the strain gauge when the nozzle makes contact with the bed and converts them into a digital signal the motherboard can understand. This ensures a perfect "Z-offset" and first layer every time, regardless of whether you are using a PEI sheet, glass, or a textured plate.
