Product Description
Description:
The KY-035 Analog Hall Magnetic Sensor Module is a fundamental component for any electronics project aiming to detect and measure magnetic fields. Unlike digital Hall sensors, this module utilizes a linear Hall effect sensor (commonly the AH49E) to provide an analog output voltage that is directly proportional to both the strength and polarity of the magnetic field it senses. This continuous voltage output offers nuanced data, allowing for more precise measurements and complex interactions than simple on/off detection.
When no magnetic field is present, the sensor outputs a quiescent voltage (typically half the supply voltage). As a South pole of a magnet approaches, the output voltage increases; conversely, if a North pole approaches, the voltage decreases. This linear response makes the KY-035 exceptionally useful for applications requiring fine detection of magnetic presence, direction, or even relative distance.
This compact module is straightforward to integrate, featuring three pins for easy connection to microcontrollers like Arduino, ESP32, and Raspberry Pi. It's a perfect tool for educational purposes, DIY automation, robotics, and any scenario where understanding the subtleties of magnetic fields is key.
