About the Product
Description:
The MQ-8 Hydrogen Gas Sensor is specifically designed for detecting hydrogen (H₂) gas concentrations in the air. It utilizes a tin dioxide (SnO₂) semiconductor material as its sensitive layer. In clean air, the sensor has lower conductivity. When hydrogen gas is present, it is adsorbed onto the sensor's surface, causing conductivity to increase. This change in conductivity is converted into an analog voltage output, which is proportional to the H₂ concentration. The MQ8 exhibits high sensitivity to hydrogen and has relatively low sensitivity to alcohol, LPG, and cooking fumes, which can help reduce false alarms.
Features:
- High Sensitivity to Hydrogen
- Low Sensitivity to Alcohol, LPG, and Cooking Fumes
- Fast Response and Recovery
- Stable and Long Lifespan
- Low Cost
- Simple Drive Circuit
